The aliens are (delightfully) really alien. Heroic, hardboiled military characters populate the story. This tale celebrates man's tenacious courage and persevering will to fight to survive in the face of overwhelming odds.Humans display wit, adaptability and grit. This is a very fast paced and well written series so far. My only quibble is that I want a lot more detail on the aliens, who are intriguing in their strangeness. I want to know more of their race and motivations, the glimpse of them so far is freaky and creative. Perhaps in the next installations we'll get more on them. Recommended.

Hardly a wasted word only regret is the episode/book seemed too short. Insurmountable odds and a foe deserving of the worst of war. To be continued....how I dislike those words.
The saga continues. Another good read
Slow plot development with a nice twist at the end. Worth the read.
Very enjoyable sequel to Hardway. As usual, Cozen, captain of Hardway, comes across as a cold-hearted man almost beyond regarding any man or women on board as worthy of living - he has a mission to complete and he will use, manipulate and do anything to accomplish what needs to be done, even if it means the death of his crew. His XO, Ram Devlin, is left in the unenviable position of carrying out Cozen's wims while truly hating the man. This is a well-written and plotted book and coupled with some memorable characters; I recommend this series to sci-fi officianados who love great battle action and humanity fighting against a more advanced alien species.
